Prodigy awarded Scottish Franchise and appoints Scottish Manager
Friday, 01 October 2004

Prodigy, the master distributor of Microsoft Office Specialist and IC3 examinations in Ireland and now in Scotland, today announces the opening of a new Scottish Office and Scottish Country Manager. Malcolm Knox has been appointed Scottish Country Manager.

Prodigy has been one of the most effective champions of Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Programmes in Europe and was awarded the Scottish Territory by CertiPort, the US company responsible for the Microsoft Certification programme.

Craig Bewley, managing director of Prodigy, said: “We are very excited about extending our reach into Scotland. Studies show that the Scottish, like their fellow celts here in Ireland, exhibit higher than average uptake when it comes to engaging in further studies and certification than their European counterparts.

“With Malcolm on board, we look forward to establishing the IT Academy in Scottish educational facilities as well as driving the adoption of both the Microsoft Office Specialist and IC3 certification programmes throughout the country.”

Knox is a business graduate from the Napier University in Edinburgh and has spent the past three years with the Miller Group, where he completed its Graduate Development Programme. During his time with the Miller Group, Knox enjoyed extensive training and experience in across a range of roles including business development, marketing and construction services.
