New IDC Survey: How To Reduce Bad Hires!

A new survey has been released by IDC, the World's Premier Market Intelligence firm, detailing the value of objective pre-hire assesment when hiring new employees. The Microsoft Cerfified Application Speciailist and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications give organisations  an opportunity to ensure that a candidate has the technical capabilities and other competecies to make a valuable employee.

The Survey concluded that using Microsoft Office Certifications as a yardstick when hiring and for ongoing training, leads to benefits for both the organisation and employees alike.

Organisations:

  • Reduce turnover, which leads to increased organisational capability.
  • Achieve strategic objectives with proper staffing.
  • Position themselves for competitive advantage in an increasingly tight labour pool by exhibiting behaviors of "an employer of choice".

Being properly trained and continuously developed, employees benefit by:

  • Being recognised for performing to a high standard.
  • Being more likely to achieve balance between work and personal lives.
  • Exhibiting increased job satisfaction, which helps them remain fully engaged and increases their loyalty to the company.

The IDC survey has uncovered some very interesting information and statistics for organisations and a great insight into how to prevent "bad hires". To view the full IDC Survey click here

The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist qualification is being used by organisations for the ongoing training of employees in the New Microsoft Office 2007 packages and the New Windows Vista Operating system. Click here to find out more.
