Microsoft Office certified respondents from world’s two largest economies say their credentials give them an advantage over non-certified job seekers in a turbulent global economy
It was announced today that Microsoft Office certified respondents believe they have a decisive advantage in finding work over non-certified counterparts in a recessionary economy, according to the results of a survey completed by more than 500 certified individuals from the United States and Japan. 70% of respondents said their certification favours them to be hired before other non-certified candidates.
Certification may even help office workers maintain their currents posts despite financial insecurity. Roughly half of the respondents said they believe their credentials offer them a measure of job security in the face of national and global economic challenges.
“Individuals around the world are learning how to confront distressing economic circumstances,” said David Saedi, president and CEO of Certiport. “Although no single method definitively ensures someone can become ‘recession proof,’ certification continues to be a cost-effective way to demonstrate value to current or prospective employers.”
